CET is an entrance test conducted by the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) for the purpose of selecting candidates for entry into courses in Engineering, Medicine and Architecture.

Follow up:

Each year nearly 200,000 student take this exam to get the opportunity to study in an institution of their choice and to get guidance on what streams would suit them best. The examination is conducted once a year and the candidates are subjected to a test of their skill and knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, depending on the stream they choose. The tentative period of the exam is towards the end of April each year and those that top the exam or score really well in it are offered special privileges along with a choice of their college.

Hi Sandeepd,

If you have finished your diploma then you should have your marks cards or a provisional certificate provided by your college. To go in for B.Tec you will need to identify your college and once you have done that, you'll need to send them your marks cards/ provisional certificate along with the marks cards of your school (10 and 12/PUC). All these documents have to be sent as photocopies along with a letter requesting admission. The coll will review your marks and get back in touch with you.
