CET is an entrance test conducted by the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) for the purpose of selecting candidates for entry into courses in Engineering, Medicine and Architecture.

The eligibility criteria for the CET exam is that those applying must have completed their 10+2 with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology). They must also have studied English as a language. Also the candidate should net be younge or older than 17 to 25 years of age.

Candidates can get the form by writing in to the address mention below. Send a Demand Draft in favour of 'The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore' for Rs. 550 (Rs. 400 for SC/ST/OBC and Rs.650 for candidates not residing in karnataka) along with the brochure.

The general pattern of the test is that first the written exam is conducted and after the results have been announced the qualifying candidates are called in for counselling where in they are given their choices in terms of colleges and the branches that they can opt for.

The merit list, a list with the names of the top ranking students, will be generated based on the marks obtained by the student and published by the end of May. To qualify for the list a student will need to score a minimum of 45% in the CET exam (40% for SC/ST/OBC) in case the student is applying for a course in engineering.
