A student from Sathya Sai Lokaseva Pre-University College in Alike he secured the 35th rank in Engineering and the 48th rank in Medical in CET 2009. The son of Mr S M Vasanna, the Deputy Director of Boilers for the Government of Karnataka, and Mrs Shobha B M, a home-maker, Kishor hails from the town of Davengere in central Karnataka. He also has a younger brother who is currently in the 7th class in a school in Davangere.

He was kind enough to attend it on the invitation he received from his friend Kishor S V. During the same function, he also received felicitation for the outstanding rank that he got in the Karnataka CET exams. He had secured the 36th rank in Karnataka CET 2009.

We were fortunate enough to get few minutes with one such student, Karan N Ramakrishna who got the 4th rank in CET medical 2009 . A very down to earth person, Karan, came across as a very confident and jovial young man who believed in always being optimistic and was kind enough to share his experience with all of us.

Aditya Manjunath, who got the 7 rank in CET 2009, is the son of a Pathologist in private practice and the brother of a girl who has just started her intern-ship in M S Ramaiah Medical College and plans to specialise in orthopaedics. As his father and mother smile with pride and joy, Aditya is being congratulated by his sister. They are so lost in the celebration that before they know it, he and his sister, are dancing and jumping around the whole place.

As he is on his way home, his phone starts ringing. Call after call comes in and everyone is calling him for the same reason. With each call his ecstasy grows making him feel proud of himself. When he gets home, there is a lot of back patting and congratulating going on. He is the star of the show and to show their appreciation his parent gift him a computer! So what was it that Naveen Bhat Y did that made so many call him at once and offer him their congratulations? The answer is simple, he got the 1st rank in CET engineering and 26th rank in CET medical 2009.
